Another This Morning host that has recently graced headlines is Alison Hammond. The beloved TV presenter allegedly rejected a huge pay rise to become a permanent feature of This Morning.

An ITV insider told The Mirror: “Alison has long been a favourite with bosses. She’s very popular with viewers and celebrities often request her when they appear on the sofa.

“She’s happy to fill in but has politely declined the job more than once.” The 48-year-old recently told Woman’s Own magazine that she was hoping for her own show one day.

Alison confessed, “I love my job and I’m good at it. But I’ve always got plans, things I want to do next. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve asked for my own show.

“That’s what I want, a show called Alison. It might get to the point where I just make it myself!”

This Morning have undergone a ton of changes in their line-up over the last few months. Phillip Schofield left ITV following his affair with a colleague, Holly WIlloughby left in September, and Sarah Ferguson has been occupying a guest slot.
