Love Island All Stars ‘quitter’ Jake Cornish will ‘only get £2k’ after dramatic exit

Jake Cornish will reportedly only receive £2,000 after quitting Love Island: All Stars early.

The TV star was one of the contestants who returned for another stint in the ITV villa but it has been reported that he’s left after three days. According to The Sun he walked after being coupled up with his ex Liberty Poole, with a source saying: “Jake couldn’t stay in the villa so he quit the show – it’s not his time and it’s not the right time to find love.”

It’s now claimed that Jake will pocket just £2,000 as a result of his early exit. It seems he was set to be paid £2,000 a week instead of getting a big pay packet for signing up to the special series of the dating show.

A source told Daily Mail: “Everyone is being treated the same on Love Island: All Stars… there was no negotiation for stars of the show to take part despite their status and fan base,” a source was quoted as saying. “Jake will have only earned a total of £2,000 to be on the series, which isn’t bad for three days’ work but won’t have been what he was hoping for.”

As rumours about Jake leaving started to swirl, Love Island fans took to X to express their shock. “Has Jake left the villa wtf?” asked one baffled viewer. Another posted: “Finding out that Jake has left the villa already is disappointing.” “JAKE LEFT LOVE ISLAND????” asked someone else.

“Just seen the news of Jake leaving the villa already… Well that was a plot twist!” exclaimed one viewer. “That didn’t last long did it?!” quipped someone else.

Others said if it was true, they understood Jake’s decision given he was coupled with Liberty, after their relationship came to a tearful end not long before the 2021 Love Island final. “I truly hope this is just a rumour, but it was evil to put them together I feel!” remarked one fan. “You could tell how uncomfortable each of them were! So if it’s true I can’t say I quite blame him!”

Another commented: “Jake has quit the show? Awww… That’s a good decision for him to make.” “I knew Jake was gonna leave he was wayyyyy to quiet in the first episode,” said somebody else.

One viewer took issue with trolls criticising Jake for leaving, saying: “His ex was there, half of you lot wouldn’t want to see your ex, but him leaving a show because of that reason is childish?”

Daily Star has contacted ITV for comment.
