Love Island fans back Anton after he ‘wipes the floor’ with ‘lying’ Mitch in furious row

Love Island fans have thrown support behind Anton Danyluk as they say he “wiped the floor” with Mitchell Taylor – who is best known as Messy Mitch.

The heated spat broke out on Thursday’s episode (25 January) after Liberty Poole confided in Mitch about her conversation with the Scotsman. Anton had expressed that he didn’t believe that Mitch’s feelings were genuine and urged the former Nando’s waitress to think carefully about the romance.

Anton was only trying to be a friend to Liberty and was offering up some honest advice, however his words weighed heavy on her and she decided to pull Mitch for a chat. During their talk, she’d attempted not to expose Anton.

Mitch was insistent on knowing who had wound her up and Liberty begged him not to say anything if she were to reveal the person. But after she confided in Mitch, he walked straight over to Anton to have it out.

A furious row broke out between the two chaps, as Mitch claimed that Anton had “broke bro code” but was slapped down by Anton who told him, he “needed to look at himself” after he’d made Liberty “cry twice in seven days.” Fans raced to X – formerly known as Twitter to hail the Scot.

One person said: “Anton stood on business… you’ve been together 7 days you’ve made her cry twice. I LOVE IT!!!! #LoveIsland,” a second agreed: “Anton putting Messy Mitch in his place IKTR. #Loveisland #loveislandallstars,” while a third person wrote: “Anton’s the child?! Bit f**king rich coming from messy Mitch, Anton handled that well #LoveIsland.”

Meanwhile, on Thursday’s programme the islander’s faced a brutal re-coupling as they were asked to gather at the firepit to face their fate. However there was a twist with the new bombshell’s Tom Clare and Sophie Piper’s partners being picked for them by the public.

Tom’s phone was first to ping, with the public voting for him to couple-up with Molly Smith. Next was Sophie and her match was decided as Josh Ritchie. Viewers will have to wait until Friday’s episode to see what awaits for the other stars of the show.
