Gethin Jones was floored at how “angry” he got with one of his co-stars.
The BBC Morning Live presenter was a guest on an upcoming episode of Bridge of Lies, but things quickly turned tense. The 46-year-old captained the team that took part in the quiz show, fronted by former EastEnders star Ross Kemp.
The celebrity edition, which will air later this year, also featured Dr Ranj and chefs Anna Haugh and Bryony May Williams. A clip of the episode was aired during Tuesday’s episode (March 12) of Morning Live as Ross, 59, appeared as a guest.

“(It’s) actually properly terrifying when you are playing the game,” Gethin said ahead of the clip being shown. “It’s fair to say one of us – one of the team – may have buckled under the pressure.”

The clip began to play and showed a stressed Dr Ranj standing on the “bridge” as the team attempted to figure out which statement was true. At that point, the team had £3,150 in their prize pot and needed the 44-year-old to answer correctly in order to keep the sum.
One of the four statements included a medical term, but the doctor admitted he couldn’t remember what it meant. The former This Morning star ended up choosing the first statement, but it turned out to be wrong.

Dr Ranj and the team were furious, while a frustrated Gethin turned away before placing his hand on his head. Back in the Morning Live studio, the Welsh TV star reacted to the clip alongside co-host Helen Skelton and Ross.
“I haven’t seen that. I’m a bit embarrassed as to how angry I am with Ranj about it,” Gethin confessed. Strictly Come Dancing star Helen agreed: “He was so angry! It’s only a game.”

“I’m competitive,” Gethin laughed before apologising to his teammate. He said: “Sorry, Ranj. We’re a team at the end of the day.” Helen, 40, hit back: “That’s not what you were saying on the day is it?”
