Page 3 icon Sam Fox ‘assaulted wife in drunk row’ forcing flight to be halted, court hears

Page 3 icon Samantha Fox allegedly assaulted her wife in a drunken row, which resulted in their flight being abandoned a court has heard.

Sam, who found fame as a topless model in the mid-eighties, had been due to fly with her Norwegian spouse, Linda Olsen, when the drama ensued at Heathrow. The couple had intended to fly to Munich, only for 57-year old Sam to be arrested and banged up for the night in a cell.

She appeared at Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court on Friday (April 12), where she was charged with being drunk on a plane and assaulting 47-year-old Linda on December 3, 2023. Sam pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly, but denied the assault.

Sam also pleaded guilty to using threatening behaviour, causing harassment, alarm or distress to Police Constable Ashley Smith. She is now due to stand trial on September 2.

Former Celebrity Big Brother star Sam arrived for the hearing in a black blazer and trousers and white top. She has been in a relationship with Linda since 2016 – a year after losing her previous partner, Myra Stratton to cancer.

The Sun reported in January that Sam admitted she was “deeply sorry for any disruption caused” to the flight in question. Her arrest came after a difficult year for the pin-up.

She lost her sister Vanessa – whom she was incredibly close to – to a sudden heart attack at the age of 50 in March 2023. In her 2017 autobiography, Forever, Samantha spoke of how Vanessa had saved her when their dad, who was an alcoholic, had attacked her.

She wrote: “I thought he was going to kill me and begged him to stop. When I tried to get up he kicked me so hard in the stomach it winded me and he wouldn’t stop. My sister Vanessa heard what was going on and jumped on his back to get him off me.”
