Ronan Keating struggles to hold back tears as he says emotional goodbye to daughter

Ronan Keating was left teary-eyed as he bid an emotional farewell to his daughter Missy.

The Boyzone star took to social media to share the touching moment online, after flying across the Atlantic to visit his daughter, who he shares with ex-wife Yvonne Connolly. The tears started flowing when it was time for him to say goodbye.

Ronan is also dad to Love Island’s Jack and daughter Ali, who he shares with Yvonne. He has since welcomed two more kids, Cooper and Coco Knox, with his wife of nine years, Storm.

On Instagram, Ronan shared a sweet snap of Storm and Missy during their trip across the pond. He captioned the post: “Always hard to say goodbye. I’m not crying you’re crying. Well Most importantly Happy Birthday my brilliant daughter. Love you so much moo.

He went on: “You are such a brave strong woman. Storm and I loved seeing you stand on your own two feet In the city that never sleeps. Storm Jack Ali Coops Coco and I are all so proud of you. Enjoy your Day. Love you always dad X.”

Missy responded to her dad’s sweet message, saying: “Love you so much [heart emoji] thank you dad. Best couple days with you both. Missing you already.”

In 2022, Ronan admitted that his “heart hurt” when he had to say goodbye to Missy while she was living in the heart of Australia. The star moved Down Under to pursue her career as an actress and grow as a model.

Ronan posted a photo of Missy hugging her little brother and sister, Cooper and Coco, on Instagram. He wrote: “Off she goes. Australia watch out @missyykeating is on her way. Heart hurts so much. We are all going to miss her like crazy.”

Last year, Ronan faced a very sad time when his brother died in a car crash back in July. Ciaran Keating, 57, was driving to his son’s football game when it tragic accident occurred. His late brother was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision between his vehicle and another driver’s.

His wife Ann Marie also sustained injuries in the crash and was rushed to hospital. In December, Ronan remembered his big brother on his birthday.

Sharing a touching tribute, he wrote: “Today was always going to be a tough one. What should be my Brother Ciaran’s Birthday is instead a day to remember he is gone.

He continued: “Questioning ourselves and our actions while he was on this earth ‘why didn’t we spend more time together, why didn’t we speak more.’ F**k I miss my big brother today and every day since he got on that Green bird to NYC in 1988.

“Call your sibling, your parent, your child, your loved one. Don’t put it off don’t think they will be there tomorrow. Because they may not.

“My heart hurts today. For everyone that has lost a loved one too soon I feel your pain. I’ll light a candle for you C. Remembering you on your birthday.”
