Former Hollyoaks actress Sarah Jayne Dunn thinks she knows which of her co-stars made a complaint about her OnlyFans during her time on the show.
Sarah Jayne, who joined the Chester-based soap as Mandy Richardson in 1996 was faced with a dilemma in 2021 – having to choose between continuing on the show, or on the adult subscription web site. The 42-year old opted for the latter – something she now looks back on as the “best decision of her life”.
The mum-of-one explained that TV bosses now include clauses in actors’ contracts, forbidding them from heading down the same route. “Apparently there is one person,” she said of the complaint. “I think I know who that is now, I have my suspicions for sure,” she said.

Admitting that “you can’t please everyone”, Sarah Jayne told the Sun: “It was like any workplace — you get on with most people, but there will be a couple that you don’t. I think a lot of that boils down to their own insecurities and jealousies.”
Following her exit Sarah Jayne said she was supported by fellow OnlyFans stars Megan Barton Hanson of Love Island fame, and Kerry Katona for standing her ground. Hollyoaks bosses reportedly cited a responsibility towards its young audience as the reason behind its stance.
Sarah Jayne argued, however, that she had simply been sharing content of herself in her underwear – just as she did in 90s lads mags such as Maxim and FHM. In addition, up until 2011 Hollyoaks sold racy calendars on an annual basis of its sexiest male and female stars – in which they wore very little.

The star says she will never venture into X-rated material, however, and she has the full backing of her husband, Jonathan Smith. “When I first joined OnlyFans, me and my husband had a conversation about what my limitations and boundaries were,” she said.
“I know where I am at and I am happy with the content that I do.” Celebrity Big Brother is reportedly lining up Sarah Jayne to appear on the show, meanwhile, which kicks off in March – the first series since its Channel 5 demise in 2018

“She’s one of Hollyoaks’ most recognisable faces and a big personality that fans could really warm to,” a source said of Sarah Jayne’s possible inclusion.
“No-one’s put pen to paper yet but the feeling is that she would have a lot to off the show and could spill all on her time on Hollyoaks and decision to work on OnlyFans. Should Sarah did agree to take part in the show, she is likely to join boxer Amir Khan’s wife, Faryal, and the Princess of Wales’ uncle, Gary Goldsmith.
