Sheridan Smith dazzles in completely see through dress on red carpet after musical axe

She rarely goes a week without dazzling her loyal legion of fans with her glamorous lifestyle online.

And Sunday night (April 14) was no different when Sheridan Smith dressed up to the nines as she attended the Olivier Awards. The beloved actress, 42, whose musical Opening Night was recently cancelled two months early, made sure all eyes was on here as she attended the prestigious awards.

Most recently, the brunette beauty been playing the lead role of alcoholic actress Myrtle in the West End show, which has been hit with backlash from critics and audience members. Many confessed they walked out halfway through the “boring show” and admitted not even the TV sensation could save the show.

The production was cancelled just days after the cruel reviews, but it appears as though the mum-of-one has put that behind her as she strutted her stuff on the red carpet. The Gavin and Stacey star was all smiles as she put her killer curves on display in a completely see-through floor-length dress which was decorated with diamantes.

Maintaining her dignity, the actor rocked a set of matching black underwear, which featured a strapless bandeau crop top and a pair of high waisted knickers. Her daring ensemble showed off her endless legs and enviable curves as she posed up a storm for the cameras.

She elevated her ensemble with a pair of black strappy high heels and added a pair of dangly diamond earrings. The TV star gave viewers a closer look at her rarely-seen tattoos which included the intricate mandala tattoo on her thigh and her half-sleeve on her left arm.

Sheridan housed her essential items in a mirrored clutch bag in the shape of lips as she flashed her pearly whites to the camera. She styled her chocolate tresses into a messy bun which sat at the nape of her neck.

To complete the looks, the Netflix star opted for a full face of minimal makeup which celebrated her youthful glow with a pinch of blush on the apples of her cheeks. The doting mum added a touch of bronzer on the high points of her face which complimented the wash of brown eyeshadow on her lid.

She added a touch of black mascara on her fluttery lashes and added a swipe of pink lipstick on her perfect pout. It’s fair to say she transformed the red carpet into her own personal catwalk as she worked her best angles for the camera.

The stage and screen star made sure to say hello to her doting fans as she took endless selfies with them on her arrival. She was nominated in the Best Actress category for playing the title role in Shirley Valentine at the Duke of York’s Theatre in the heart of London.

But despite her best efforts, the hit musical certainly came out on top this year after it took home seven awards at the lavish awards event held at the Royal Albert Hall. The TV favourite was pipped to the post by Nicole Scherzinger who took home the gong for her performance in Sunset Boulevard.

Her leading co-star Tom Francis also took home the Best Actor in a Musical gong, meanwhile Sarah Snook and Andrew Scott’s play also won big. Jamie Lloyd won the Sir Peter Hall Award for Best Director and the show also won Best Musical Revival.
