Simon Cowell ‘pulled over’ by officers while cycling as he’s pranked by Ant and Dec

Simon Cowell becomes Ant and Dec’s latest victim when he’s pranked on Saturday Night Takeaway.

The TV and music mogul is the target of the duo’s hilarious Undercover segment, which sees them play tricks on unsuspecting celebs – and it looks set to be a goodie. Ant and Dec jetted to the US to film the stunt for the new series of their ITV show, which they’ve said will be their last for a while.

And viewers are in for a treat as they prank their Britain’s Got Talent boss Simon outside his plush pad in Los Angeles, with hilarious results. As fans know, Simon hasn’t had the best of luck on bikes as he broke his back on one in 2020.

A clip from the programme shows Simon cycling along on a sunny afternoon, clad in one of his usual long-sleeved t-shirts and some dark sunglasses. He is none the wiser as he is stopped by actors dressed as police officers, while Ant and Dec are tucked away in a studio in fits of laughter.

They can’t stop giggling as the prank plays out, with Dec admitting that he was “sweating” as he roared with laughter watching Simon. It seems the TV judge simply can’t catch a break when those two are around.

It’s not the first time that Simon has been targeted by the cheeky duo, with the star involved in the first ever Undercover gag. “We are ending the Undercovers where we started… with Simon Cowell!” said Dec.

“Our first ever Undercover was on Simon in LA when he was a judge on American Idol,” he went on. “So we’ve gone back and got Simon Cowell again. We went out to LA and gave him the day from hell whilst he was judging on America’s Got Talent.”

Ant added: “It was even sweeter getting him the second time round because we also got him during his downtime as he’s riding his bike around Malibu. It’s very, very funny.”

Saturday Night Takeaway started in 2002 but had a break from 2009 to 2013. Last year, Ant and Dec announced the show was ending again for the moment. In a video on Instagram, they said that after the 2024 series they would be taking a “breather”.

Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway is back this weekend on Saturday 24 February at 7pm on ITV1, STV, STV Player & ITVX.
