Stacey Solomon concerned This Morning appearance after being ‘kept hostage’ by Joe Swash

Stacey Solomon fears she won’t make it on This Morning after husband Joe Swash “kept her hostage”.

The mum-of-five and her famous former EastEnders star husband Joe had been enjoying a weekend away in their caravan. It proved to be the needed break that they all craved and appeared to be tough on everyone to leave.

Taking to social media in the evening, the married couple were chuckling away on camera that they had not set off like they’d planned. This left Stacey feeling rather worried over an ITV gig she had coming up.

The 34-year-old revealed she had a slot booked in with the daytime favourite but her entire brood didn’t want to leave because they’d had so much fun. Stacey is mum to Zachary, 15, Leighton, 11, Rex, four, Rose, two, and one-year-old Belle – she is also step-mum to Joe’s 16-year-old son Harry.

Speaking on camera with her I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here! husband at her side, she said: “We’re still in this blooming caravan,” As Joe added: “The kids won’t let us go home.”

“Neither will you,” she returned. “I’m keeping her hostage,” joked the father of her three smallest children. Hitting back, she said: “I’ve got to go on This Morning in the morning and I’ve got work tomorrow.”

Joe told fans: “I reckon, there’s about a 75 percent chance that we’re not going to let her go on This Morning.” She responded: “I’m going, I’ve got to go, I can’t just not turn up.”

The loved-up newlyweds went on to reveal that their children had so much fun that they’d even contemplated living in the mobile home for good. However, given work commitments they decided against it.

Meanwhile, the Tap To Tidy founder’s new Channel 4 programme hit the headlines last week – Stacey Solomon’s Renovation Rescue’s – with husband Joe also making a sneak preview on the show.

While Stacey in on a mission to help others with their renovation disasters she also wanted to showcase her next big project at Pickle Cottage. She and her TV star hubby are tackling their garage which had so far just been a dumping ground for Joe’s fishing equipment.

On the programme, the pair couldn’t see eye-to-eye on how to transform the space, so instead they agreed to build a wall down the middle to each have their own individual rooms. Stacey will have a gym in half and Joe will have a place for his fishing possessions.

Speaking to camera after Joe had left Stacey revealed she’s been given an awful nickname by Joe because of the room divide. She said: “Joe call’s me Donald Trump because he says I’m forever building walls.”
