The Chase Jenny Ryan’s private life – sweet romance and secret past TV career

The Chase pro Jenny Ryan is best known for starring as The Vixen on the ITV show – but what do we know about her?

Daily Star has taken a deeper dive into her personal life away from her ITV persona, including her love life and previous career path. Jenny has been on the show since 2015 and has been a fan favourite ever since.

Jenny doesn’t like to share too much about her private life, but there are snippets fans have picked up over the years. She also has done her best to keep her love life under wraps, but recently has gone more public with her man.

The TV star didn’t give much away about her relationship status over the years, apart from when she tweeted in 2016, mentioning she had a boyfriend. She uploaded a pic of a dog wearing a shark costume she captioned it: “My boyfriend is shark phobic but dog-obsessed so I am showing him all #BarkWeek pics to help him get over his fear. Cheers x.”

Since then, Jenny was left teary-eyed as she opened up about relocating “back home” to start a life with her partner on Celebrity Escape to the Country earlier this year. Jenny and Tom shared their future plans with presenter Jules Hudson about wanting to move from the city to the countryside near her hometown, Bolton.

Jenny, 41, had been living in London before this to follow her dreams of being on TV. She then made it her home once she was accepted officially on The Chase.

During the show, the couple revealed they had a budget of £850,000 and were shown many beautiful houses. One managed to catch their eye and they fell head over heels for the second property shown to them.

Talking about the home, Jenny told Jules: “This feels like the beginning of a fairytale, it is astonishing. Hearing the bird song, my stepdad would be in his element here because he is a really keen birdwatcher, he has travelled the world watching birds.

“It is something we have done as a family for quite a few years, so much potential for sharing a new stage of life with this property because it has got something for all of us, and we can share it out.”

However, even though the TV star loved the property, she revealed she would need her parent’s approval first, as they had “never led her astray”.

The star also has a surprising past TV career and has starred on some other shows in front of the cameras for some, and behind-the-scenes on others. She also appeared on Mastermind in 2006, where she picked American television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer as her specialist subject.

Jenny also appeared in both series of Are You an Egghead?, both in 2008 and 2009. She also made appearances on Weakest Link and worked as a QI Elf. Jenny has written questions for game shows. Since her The Chase fame, she also starred on the 14th series of Celebrity MasterChef and The X Factor: Celebrity.
