Wheel of Fortune fans fume as life-changing unaired scene is axed from show

Wheel of Fortune fans were left fuming after a recent episode was interrupted and cut short.

During a recent instalment of the popular quiz show, viewers took to social media to fume at broadcaster ABC for cutting the show, right at a crucial moment during the bonus puzzle timer. Fans were on the edge of their seats as contestant Kiera competed for a whopping $45,350.

Over on X, formerly known as Twitter, complaints flooded in including: “Not them interrupting the end of Wheel of Fortune for this damn special report,” as someone else wrote: “Great, breaking news.”

Kiera prepared to answer the final round’s puzzle

Other viewers wrote in all caps: “Yo, ABC News cutting the end of Wheel of Fortune,” while another post read: “Did she get the final puzzle? That was ignorant.” Someone else even said they were “so pissed” with the sudden programming change.

“They cut off the end of Wheel of Fortune for this bulls***? They only had to wait two more minutes,” fumed another fan. One angry viewer said that it was “an unnecessary breakaway” which had interrupted their evening.

ABC interrupted the broadcast for a news report

ABC were also branded “clowns” by one fan, who called the breaking news report “silliness” and the move as “pretty poor timing”. Throughout the episode, Kiera went up against Army Reserves’ Lewis and 49ers fan Brianna.

Kiera told the host, Pat Sajak, that her mother is sick and was watching her compete back at home as she struggled to hold down her tears. She put on an excellent show and went on to garner almost $50,000 in prize funds.

Kiera guessed “fleece cardigan” but fans never found out the answer

Ahead of the bonus puzzle, Kiera confessed she was “freaking out” as she chose the “what are you wearing” category. After making her final decision – “fleece cardigan” – the programme cut out to show presenter David Muir hosting a special ABC News report about president Joe Biden.

This isn’t the first time Wheel of Fortune fans have had issues with ABC. Back in December, an episode of the celebrity version was rescheduled, so viewers had to wait another two weeks to see the result.
