AceShowbiz – Miranda Lambert is set to return to stage to entertain her fans after putting a halt on concerts for almost a year due to the coronavirus pandemic. The country music star has revealed plans for a 3-night concert run in April.
Making use of her Instagram account, the “Mama’s Broken Heart” songstress announced on Monday, February 8 that she’s going to perform at the legendary Fort Worth, Texas, honky-tonk Billy Bob’s on April 22, 23 and 24. The gigs will be part of the venue’s epic 40th anniversary celebration.
“First concert in over a year. Texas , I can’t wait to come home,” she posted on the photo-sharing site. “Join RanFans to get presale tickets at miranda.to/billybobs.” Assuring that the concerts will be held in adherence with Covid safety measures, she added, “We’re doing this safely and right. The gigs mark Miranda’s first concerts since the COVID-19 outbreak hit the nation nearly a year ago. She was set to go on “Wildcard Tour” in support of seventh studio album “Wildcard” in 2020, but all dates were canceled due to the pandemic.
Billy Bob’s, a massive 127,000 square-foot entertainment venue which is known for its mechanical bull, reopened late last summer. While it can hold 6,000 people, the honky-tonk has been enforcing a 40% capacity of 2,500, with guests seated at tables of six to eight.
Some general admission tickets, also seated, are available on an upper level. Tickets for the Lambert concerts range from $50-$200 and will go on pre-sale on February 10, and on sale to the general public on February 12.
Billy Bob’s will kick off the celebration of its 40th anniversary on April 1, with an appearance by The Gatlin Brothers. They will be followed by two concerts on April 2 and 3 by Hank Williams Jr. Other acts set to perform at the venue include Texas band Midland (April 8-10) and Dwight Yoakam (April 15-17).

Miranda Lambert, Thomas Rhett to Salute Essential COVID-19 Workers Through CMT TV Special

    WENN

‘CMT Celebrates Our Heroes: An Artists of the Year Special’ will also see the likes of Florida Georgia Line, Kane Brown, Kelsea Ballerini, Lady Antebellum and many others honoring the real heroes.
    Apr 28, 2020
AceShowbiz – Country superstars Miranda Lambert, Thomas Rhett, and Florida Georgia Line are set to salute essential workers in a new TV special.
Instead of the annual CMT Artists of the Year event, network bosses will instead present CMT Celebrates Our Heroes: An Artists of the Year Special on 3 June, when the line-up will also feature Kane Brown, Kelsea Ballerini, Lady Antebellum, Brothers Osborne and Little Big Town, among others, all filmed in isolation during the coronavirus pandemic.
“The CMT Artists of the Year franchise has always been reflective of the important issues of our time, and this year, we all felt it necessary to shift our focus to honoring the real heroes during these unprecedented times,” reads a statement issued by Leslie Fram, CMT’s senior vice president of music and talent.
“From the first responders and healthcare workers to members of the military, our educators, food industry workers and so many more, the country music community will come together to honor these heroic men and women.”
“The evening of unity will feature incredible performances, uplifting tributes and a salute to those risking their lives on the frontlines of this crisis.”
The 11th annual show, which typically celebrates the achievements of the country community, won’t be the first to turn the spotlight on real-life issues – in 2017, the TV event became a fundraiser to provide relief for those affected by Hurricane Harvey and the Las Vegas concert massacre at the Route 91 Harvest festival.

Miranda Lambert 'So Sorry' Having to Postpone Weekend Shows Over Voice Loss

    Instagram

The ‘Somethin’ Bad’ singer has rescheduled her Salt Lake City and Denver concert to February 25 and March 2 after she was forced to back out of them due to an illness.
    Feb 3, 2020
AceShowbiz – Country star Miranda Lambert has apologised to fans for having to postpone a pair of weekend tour dates after losing her voice.
The “Vice” singer had been due to perform in Salt Lake City, Utah on Friday, January 31, but took to Instagram earlier in the day to reveal she would no longer be taking the stage.
“I’ve been doing everything in my power to be 100% but my voice is just not there. Not even close,” she wrote.
“I am so sorry to let everyone down. Since I’m not well, we thought it would be better to come back and give y’all the best show we can.”

Lambert was then forced to also scrap plans to play Denver, Colorado on Saturday as her illness still lingered.
“I spent the last 24 hours on the bus trying to get as well as I could. No talking. All the tea in the world. Sleep. Meds (sic),” she shared.
“I’m feeling a lot better but unfortunately my voice is just not back yet and there is nothing else I can do but wait. It’s the worst feeling in the world to not be able to show up and put on a show for y’all.”
The gigs have since been rebooked for February 25 and March 2, respectively.

It’s not yet known if any further tour dates will be affected by her ailment, but Lambert will have a few more days to rest before she is next due onstage in Kansas City, Missouri on Thursday.
