Zendaya Thanks 'Malcolm and Marie' Crew for Their Hard Work Ahead of Movie Release

    Instagram

The ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’ star is ‘eternally grateful’ to the crew members involved in making her new feature film which is also produced by the actress.

    Feb 7, 2021
AceShowbiz – Zendaya will be “eternally grateful” for the crew involved in making her new movie “Malcolm & Marie”.
The actress took to Twitter to share her gratitude for those involved in creating the film during the Covid-19 pandemic and lockdown, ahead of the movie’s release.
“Full of excitement and nervousness as this lil movie we made in lockdown with people I love is coming out in the next hour,” she began. “Nervousness for a few reasons. Normally I’m pretty self-critical and that leads me to be far too fearful to make things myself or trust myself enough to even try.”
“This is really my first time believing that maybe I could. This is my first time being a leading lady, but also my first time being this creatively involved in something, producing something, co-financing something, owning something and sharing it all with my crew.”

Zendaya, who stars opposite John David Washington in the film, continued, “We made this as a family, shot it in 14 days with a 22 person crew I am eternally grateful for. For their talent, their time, their hard work, and their willingness to believe in this film. If there’s anything to learn from this year, and I hope from our little movie it’s gratitude for every moment and every person we get to love.”
She concluded, “All that being said, on behalf of our little crew of 22, we hope you laugh (please laugh lol) and cry and hopefully enjoy this little thing we made with a whole lot of love. Love Maree (I spell mine with two E’s).”
Zendaya’s tweet came after she opened up about the huge differences between filming the Netflix movie and her upcoming role in the third Spider-Man movie.
Speaking about the differences between the two sets, she told Yahoo! Entertainment, “It is very different. On this film, everybody’s doing seven different jobs. (Spider-Man) is a very different kind of experience in the sense that there’s a lot going on, but they still manage to keep it safe. I’m grateful to be back at work.”

The MJ depicter expertly dodges the question about Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield’s rumored appearance in the upcoming movie during a ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ interview.

    Dec 5, 2020
AceShowbiz – Zendaya Coleman has mastered the skills of avoiding spoilers as she’s currently working on another highly-secretive project from Marvel. The actress was grilled about the rumored “Spider-Man 3” crossover with Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield during her recent appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”, but she managed to keep her lips tightly sealed.
“Everything is very secretive,” the 24-year-old told host Jimmy Kimmel about the “Spider-Man: Far From Home” sequel which she’s now filming in Atlanta. When asked if the movie is called “Spider-Man 3” because there are three Spider-Men in it including Tom Holland’s version, she replied, “I can neither confirm nor deny.”
Jimmy didn’t give up easily though. After the “Euphoria” star said that they had a “bubble Thanksgiving” dinner with the cast and crew of the movie, the comedian inquired if she celebrated the Turkey Day “with Spider-Men.” She responded, “Yeah – I can’t say that,” before admitting that the host almost got her, “You almost… that was good. That was good.”
“Because I was wondering what you guys had. Because I know Tobey Maguire is a vegan,” Jimmy explained his curiosity, to which the MJ depicter claimed, “I have no idea… I really don’t.”

The video, labeled “news,” went on to say that “in ‘Spider-Man 3’ you will quite possibly see everyone – yes – the three Peter Parker saving the world together.”
However, after it caught the attention of movie geeks, the Spanish language video titled “The 3 Spider-Man Together” has since been deleted.

  • Zendaya's Fans Slam Publication for Dubbing Her Emmy Win 'Biggest Upset'

    Instagram

While the word ‘upset’ could mean that the ‘Euphoria’ actress, who is the younger actress to win best lead actress in a drama series, is an underdog who takes home the trophy, fans still criticize New York Post.
    Sep 22, 2020
AceShowbiz – Zendaya Coleman is still in the celebratory spirit after taking home the best lead actress in a drama series trophy at the 2020 Emmy Awards for her role as Rue Bennett on “Euphoria” and fans won’t let anyone ruin it for her. So, when some people appear to try to dismiss her achievement, her fans won’t hesitate to attack.
When others are praising Zendaya for it, New York Post’s coverage appeared to be criticizing the victory. “Biggest upset: Zendaya wins Emmys 2020 over Jennifer Aniston, Laura Linney,” so the publication wrote on Twitter.

New York Post’s coverage on Zendaya’s Emmy win enraged fans.
The shade didn’t go unnoticed by the “Spider-Man: Far From Home” actress’ fans. While the word “upset”could mean that Zendaya was an underdog who took home the trophy, fans still criticized the publication. “I know what context they are using the word ‘upset’ but was it really an upset? Zendaya and Euphoria was all anyone was talking about all year,” one fan pointed out. Trying to prove something, another user wrote, “rt if you were NOT upset.”

“Who is upset exactly? Because it’s not me,” someone else chimed in. “Zendaya’s fans aren’t mistaking the meaning. We understand the subtext of the term. We are not upset that she won the Emmy award because we saw her performance. You are using the word to mean that she was the underdog. We always viewed our Queen as the front runner in the race,” another added.
In other news, Zendaya’s rumored ex-boyfriend and “Euphoria” co-star Jacob Elardi broke his silence on her winning. Taking to his Instagram account, Jacob captioned a picture of Rue, “Congratulations captain. Bravo.” He concluded his messages with two heart emojis.

Jacob Elordi congratulated Zendaya on her Emmy win.
Jacob’s message joined a plethora of supportive social media messages from other “Euphoria” cast members, including Storm Reid and Hunter Schafer. Also among those who congratulated Zendaya over her first Emmy win, which made her the youngest actress to win the category, were Maude Apatow and Barbie Ferreira.

  • Zendaya Responds to 'Kill Bill 3' Rumors

    WENN

The ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’ actress is ‘flattered’ by the ‘Kill Bill’ speculations after original star Vivica A. Fox is keen to have her as onscreen daughter.
    Sep 5, 2020
AceShowbiz – [u=url_address/celebrity/zendaya_coleman/ying the grown-up daughter of Vernita Green in a third “Kill Bill” film.
Vivica A. Fox, who played Green on the big screen, dropped her name recently when she was asked to cast a potential “Kill Bill 3”, while suggesting director Quentin Tarantino should base the follow-up around her character’s kid, Nikki.
“I was doing an interview and they asked, ‘What young actress would you get to play your daughter?’ ” Fox said, “and I was like (original star) ‘Ambrosia (Kelley)’. But they meant an established actress. So I went, ‘Zendaya!’ How hot would that be? And that would probably green light this project… Hopefully now we can put that out, like, ‘Tarantino, cast Zendaya!’ – and spark his interest to put it on the fast track. Wouldn’t it be amazing?”
Movie chat sites have run with the idea and a new synopsis for the film reportedly appeared on IMDb last week, reading, “After witnessing the brutal murder of her mother at the hands of Beatrix (Uma Thurman), Nikki Bell (Zendaya) wreaks vengeance on the woman who destroyed her family at a young age.”
But Zendaya insists that’s just wishful thinking, telling Empire, “I was quite honoured that she (Fox) would say that. Obviously she’s incredible, and I’m very flattered that she would think of me. But, you know, it’s just an idea. The internet kinda takes things and runs with it.”
