Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford were back on the This Morning sofa today and it didn’t get off to the smoothest start.

Eamonn, 60, revealed he’d had a tooth removed due to a painful abscess in his mouth.

Ruth, 60, said to him that he didn’t know it was an abscess until the dentist saw it.

Eamonn snapped back: “Yes, I did.”

There were further cheeky quarrels between the pair when Ruth told him off over his phone ringing.

He said: “My father was dead at 64. He died of a heart attack.

“That gives me four years.”

Ruth said: “Don’t talk like that,’ but you do think like that.”

The married couple had both joined The Journey podcast with Pete Snodden, for the tell-all interview.

Eamonn also added that ahead of his demise, he would love to interview Clint Eastwood.
