Bono's daughter appears in chilling trailer for Netflix thriller Behind Her Eyes

Bono’s daughter Eve Hewson appears in a first look clip at Netflix ‘s new thriller series called Behind Her Eyes.

Eve, 29, plays the role of Adele in the show, which is based on the 2017 novel of the same name by Sarah Pinborough.

Her onscreen husband David is played by Tom Bateman, who embarks on an affair with lead character Louise (played by Simona Brown).

In the psychological thriller, Louise becomes embroiled in an unconventional love triangle with David and Adele, one that takes a dark and unexpected turn.

In the short but creepy clip, Eve’s character is seen stood in the kitchen brandishing a large knife as she chops some parsley in a rather robotic manner.

As David enters the room, Adele asks him: “Who was that?” but he ignores her question and simply asks: “Where’s your phone?”

Adele uses the large carving knife to indicate that her phone is behind her, which sees David quickly rush over and start looking through her text messages.

As Adele continues to cut the herbs with precision while looking straight ahead, David grows concerned as he looks at the messages she has exchanged with his lover Louise.

With the tension growing in the room, David appears enraged as he turns and glares at his wife ominously before the short clip comes to an end.

Eve currently lives in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, and is the second child of U2 frontman Bono and his wife Alison Hewson.

Eve has starred in several movies such as Robin Hood, Bridge of Spies and The True Adventures of Wolfboy.

Behind Her Eyes is her third television credit, following roles in The Knick and The Luminaries.

Speaking about acting last year, Eve said: “Having a career in Hollywood is like having a really bad boyfriend. You love him so much but he’s totally cheating on you.

“There are times when I desperately want to quit and become a kindergarten teacher. But one trip to the movies and I’m sucked right back in.

“I honestly can’t tell you why I like acting. For a long time I really didn’t want to do it.

“I thought it was ridiculous. It’s lonely and unsettling,” she added.
