Celebrity Gogglebox cast confirmed with Melanie C and Lorraine Kelly set to star

Celebrity Gogglebox is back with its upcoming third series, and now the show has announced its celebrity cast which features a range of returning famous names and new additions.

The new series of Channel 4’s celeb telly-watching show will air next week – starting on Friday 4th June at 9pm.

On the show, some of the biggest names in Britain from the worlds of news, entertainment and sport take to watching all kinds of television shows to offer their opinion on what they’re watching in front of the nation.

Next week, the celebs will sit down on their sofas and watch some of the most popular and topical TV shows – from hard-hitting documentaries to reality TV shows and news.

So let’s take a look at some of the returning fan favourites and new stars to grace our screens next week.

Denise Van Outen & Eddie

Actress and TOWIE narrator Denise Van Outen and her partner Eddie joined Celebrity Gogglebox last year and had fans in hysterics on the show after their rather raunchy on-air sex chat.

Denise, 46, has starred in EastEnders and Neighbours but she’s also enjoyed a career on the West End and Broadway having played Roxie Hart in the musical Chicago.

She’s also been a judge on Ireland’s Got Talent and was a runner-up on the tenth series of Strictly Come Dancing in 2012.

Mo Gilligan & Babatunde Aléshé

British stand-up comedian Mo Gilligan is currently a judge on both The Masked Singer UK and The Masked Dancer UK, as well as co-hosting The Big Narstie Show on Channel 4.

He found global success after uploading comedy clips to social media and joined Celeb Gogglebox in 2020 before featuring in the Stand Up to Cancer special of the show.

Comedian Babatunde Aléshé, 33, who joins Mo on the sofa, has made appearances on Doctor Who and law and Order UK.

Shaun Ryder & Bez

Since joining Celeb Gogglebox last year, Happy Mondays rockstar duo Shaun Ryder and Bez have left fans laughing with their hilarious and surprising comments, with some fans calling for their own spin-off show.

Shaun, 58, is no stranger to reality TV and was a runner-up on the tenth series of I’m a Celebrity.

And Bez, 57, appeared on Celebrity Big Brother back in 2005.

Martin Kemp & Roman Kemp

Spandau Ballet guitarist Martin Kemp and his Capital Radio host son Roman Kemp became fan favourites on the show last year.

Many viewers will remember the embarrassing moment the father-son duo shared on Gogglebox in 2020 when Martin brought up a humiliating story about his son’s manhood.

Chatting about taking a baby Roman on his first family holiday to Santa Barbara, Martin had said: “We were sitting by the swimming pool and there was this little bee that was trying to find somewhere to land and all of a sudden it was going round in circles and then just then it landed on your little willy.”

He added: “It was only tiny, I don’t even know how the bee saw it.”

Nick Grimshaw & Liv

BBC Radio One breakfast show host Nick Grimshaw is also back on the show for series three this year alongside his niece Liv.

The presenter, 36, is now a show veteran after first gracing the Gogglebox sofas in 2019 and the Stand Up to Cancer specials.

Earlier this year, Nick also appeared as a contestant on The Great British Bake Off For Stand Up To Cancer.

Gyles Brandreth & Maureen Lipman

Former Conservative politician Gyles Brandreth first joined Celebrity Gogglebox in 2019 alongside actress and author Sheila Hancock, but he returned for series two last year with actress Maureen Lipman.

Giles, 73, has made a tonne of appearances on the game show Countdown and BBC’s The One Show, as well as making a number of appearances on the BBC Radio 4 programme Just a Minute.

Dame Maureen Lipman, 75, has enjoyed a wide-ranging acting career across film, television and theatre.

Lorraine Kelly & Rosie

ITV chat show host and national treasure Lorraine Kelly will make her debut on Celebrity Gogglebox this year.

Lorraine and her daughter Rosie are one of the new famous duos to join the cast, and the host says she agreed to take part in the show as she loves it so much.

Speaking to Nick Grimshaw, she said: “Rosie and I have been asked to do it and we love the show so much so we thought let’s just do it.”

The presenter, 61, admits she’s worried her off-the-cuff comments could get her into trouble whilst watching television on the show.

Clara Amfo

Radio One presenter Clara Amfo will also be a new addition to Gogglebox this year.

The 37-year-old has presented a whole host of UK festivals such as Wireless as well as the BRIT Awards, Radio One’s Live Lounge, and Top of the Pops.

Clara also competed on series 18 of Strictly Come Dancing last year – making it to week six of the competition.

Clare Balding & Alice Arnold

Clare Balding OBE is a broadcasting veteran, and you will know her from her presenting work on BBC Sport, Channel 4, and BT Sport.

Clare has reported six Olympic Games, four Paralympic Games, and the Winter Olympics among other global sporting events.

You’ll catch Clare making her debut on the couch this year with her partner Alice.

Melanie C

Multi-award-winning Spice Girls star Melanie C will also grace our screens next week on the show for the first time alongside her brother Paul.

Sporty Spice will be able to provide some of her superstar insight for any of the music-based shows on offer.

Micah Richards

Former Manchester City footballer and pundit Micah Richards will be a fresh face on Celebrity Gogglebox too.

The ex-England international retired in 2019 after winning an FA Cup and Premier League title with Manchester City.

Jamie Carragher

Liverpool legend and Sky Sports TV pundit Jamie Carragher will join Micah Richards to represent the football stars on Gogglebox.

Iain Stirling & Laura Whitmore

Love Island presenters Iain Stirling and Laura Whitmore are being welcomed back to the Gogglebox sofa after featuring on the show last year.

Sunetra Sarker

Actress Sunetra Sarker will be joined again by Georgia Taylor on the sofa

Casualty star Sunetra appeared on the show in 2020 and is back again with her fellow actress friend Georgia Taylor after the pair seemed to enjoy themselves last year.

Sunetra, 47, took part in Strictly Come Dancing for its twelfth series in 2014 and made it all the way to week 10 with Brendan Cole.

Georgia plays Toyah Battersby in Coronation Street

Coronation Street star Georgia Taylor appeared to have a great time on the celebrity edition of the show last year with Sunetra.

The 41-year-old actress plays the character of Toyah in Corrie and starred as Ruth in Casualty from 2007 to 2011, before taking on the role of Kate Barker in the ITV crime series Law & Order: UK.

Chris Eubank Sr

Boxing legend Chris Eubank Sr created some memorable moments on Celeb Gogglebox after entertaining viewers last year and now he’s back on the show again with his son Chris Eubank Jr.

The father-son-duo made for a handful of hilarious results whilst watching their programmes last time around so the same is to be expected this year.

Joining his boxing-champ father is current boxer Chris Eubank Jr, who competes in the middleweight division and has held the WBA interim middleweight title since 2019.

This Morning presenting duo Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford are also making a return to Celebrity Gogglebox this year, and they’re no stranger to the camera so they’re sure to be a hit.

Celebrity Gogglebox returns for its third series on Friday 4th June at 9pm.
