Emmerdale villain Paul Ashdale attacked in brutal twist after beating son Vinny

Emmerdale’s Paul Ashdale was rushed to hospital after he was ‘attacked’ during the ITV soap.

The villain’s son, Vinny Dingle, received a terrifying phone call as the hospital told him what had happened to his father.

Paul was beaten up a matter of days after he was once again violent towards Vinny.

He’s been struggling to cope with his gambling addiction and taking it out on his loved ones.

Vinny rushed to the hospital to see his dad, who claimed the doctors said he had “swelling on the brain”.

However, as Paul was never actually seen being beaten up, viewers are convinced he’s lying.

One tweeted: “Doesn’t look like he’s been hit. Is he bulls****ing”.

While another wrote: “Swelling on the brain. Is Paul making out his injury to be worse then it is? The power of manipulation is a great thing.”

A third added: “Hasn’t got a mark on him”.

When Vinny asked him what happened, Paul insisted: “I wish I knew, it was all a blur.”

Is Paul telling the truth about his gruesome attack? Viewers will have to wait to discover what truly happened in future episode.

Earlier this week, viewers were horrified as Paul was once again violent towards his son Vinny.

Paul has lashed out at Vinny numerous times recently as he continued to try and keep his gambling addiction secret under wraps.

After Vinny threatened to tell Mandy about the gambling, Paul brutally beat him, leaving viewers horrified.

One said: “Sweet baby Jesus, Vinny needs to tell Mandy how Paul is a nasty vile human being. Mandy deserves better!!!”

While another wrote: “Oh no, not again. That’s the last time Paul. The last time.

“Stop hurting Vinny when all he has done is given you chance after chance. You owe him big time.”

“How long have we got to watch Paul hitting Vinny?”, questioned a third.

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
