Naga Munchetty brutally mocks Carol Kirkwood's cooking in savage jibe

BBC Breakfast weather presenter Carol Kirkwood was left gobsmacked when co-host Naga Munchetty fired her a brutal jibe live on air.

Before Carol started her forecast on today’s show, Naga asked her when she’d be able to put her “big coats away”.

“I would keep them out just a little bit longer Naga,” replied Carol.

But the presenter refused to give up and pushed her for a date and she jokingly replied with “May 29”.

Fellow host Jon Kay couldn’t help but laugh at the feisty chat as Naga continued.

“You know what… if I have to keep my big coat until May 29, I am coming to see you wrapped up and sit as close to you as I am allowed and just sweat next to you,” she added.

Carol decided to make a joke about Naga’s persistence, saying: “I knew you wanted to come over for my pasta and tomatoes and…”

It backfires, though, and Naga decides to deliver a savage swipe.

“You know what, I got nightmares after hearing that dish,” she said. “Blandest food in the world.”

Carol mouth drops, clearly stunned at the unexpected put-down.

And it is not the first time Naga has fired hilarious jibes in the direction of her TV colleagues.

Last weekend, Saturday Kitchen Host Matt Tebbutt pretended to walk off the show after the 5 Live presenter said it was “better without” him.

Naga was appearing alongside fellow BBC Breakfast star Charlie Stayt as guests on the show – but Matt jokingly thought they were “taking over”.

It comes after the 45-year-old admitted she had been “left in tears” after watching the emotional PS I Love You.
