Piers Morgan slams Prince Harry as bombshell memoir on royal family confirmed

Piers Morgan has shared his amusement at the news that Prince Harry will be publishing his memoirs, due to be released in late 2022.

As the news was announced today in Penguin Random House’s latest book deal, the former Good Morning Britain host was quick to share his thoughts.

Sharing the news to his Twitter, he wrote: “You’ve got to be f*****g joking?????[sic]”, alongside two laughing emojis.

His followers were quick to like his post, with over 1,000 likes flying in within less than an hour as fans shared their shock about the new deal.

Both Penguin Random House and Prince Harry has confirmed the plans for the book, which will be on the shelves next year.

In a statement released by Penguin Random House, it was confirmed that Prince Harry will be releasing his memoirs, writing: “In an intimate and heartfelt memoir from one of the most fascinating and influential global figures of our time, Prince Harry will share, for the very first time, the definitive account of the experiences, adventures, losses and life lessons that have helped shape him.

“Covering his lifetime in the public eye from childhood to the present day, including his dedication to service, the military duty that twice took him to the frontlines of Afghanistan, and the joy he has found in being a husband and father.

“Prince Harry will offer an honest and captivating personal portrait, one that shows readers that behind everything they think they know lies an inspiring courageous and uplifting human story.”

Piers questioned Harry’s decision as he laughed over him being “ready to tell his story” in a series of tweets after finding out that Harry will be releasing his memoirs.

The book deal comes shortly after it was confirmed by the couple that they would be releasing their first TV production after signing a deal with Netflix last year.

Speaking of their debut TV production series Pearl, Harry’s wife Meghan Markle said at the time: “I’m thrilled that Archewell Productions, partnered with the powerhouse platform of Netflix, and these incredible producers, will together bring you this new animated series, which celebrates extraordinary women throughout history.

“David Furnish and I have been eager to bring this special series to light, and I am delighted we are able to announce it today.”

Harry and Meghan have been focusing on projects outside of the Royal Family after stepping back as working members last year, including plans with Netflix for documentaries, production and other opportunities.
