Rose Ayling-Ellis poses with rarely seen boyfriend and Giovanni after BBC Strictly win

Strictly Come Dancing champ Rose Ayling-Ellis is glowing alongside her rarely-seen boyfriend and pro dance partner, Giovanni Pernice, as the trio pose in a rare gem of a photo which is being shared online.

A gleeful-looking Rose is seen wrapping her arms around Giovanni and Sam while they share a dessert in the hidden gem of a photo.

The EastEnders star has tried to keep her personal life out of the public eye, which could be why he partner didn’t appear in the Blackpool studio before last week’s final.

Samuel Arnold, who like Rose is also deaf, jumped for joy as Rose was crowned the winner of the 2021 series alongside her pro partner, Giovanni, and became the first deaf person to win.

In support of his boo in the final, Sam cheered for the soap star as he sat beside Rose’s mum as they watched.

Sam was seen ‘clapping’ in sign language for Rose and leapt to his feet after her first dance, a quick step.

The couple have been dating since 2014, and earlier this year they celebrated seven happy years together.

In a sweet Instagram post to her boyfriend, she wrote: “Six years we’ve been together, and I still don’t find you annoying”.

They pair have been together for about seven years

Rose and Gio scored an almost perfect score during the final, finishing on 119, the same as their competitors, Johannes Radebe and John Whaite.

There wasn’t a dry eye in the house as the pair briefly cut the music to Clean Bandit’s Symphony and put the spotlight on Rose’s deafness.

Judge Motsi Mabuse said it was such a special and beautiful dance, while Shirley Ballas said she was an “inspirational young lady”.

Rose has made history as the first deaf contestant to compete on Strictly Come Dancing since it launched.

She said: “I hope I will do the deaf community proud and break down more barriers.”

It comes after fans were left confused, as Samuel was ‘snubbed’ in Rose’s good luck message from family during the final show.

Sam was nowhere to be seen on the heartfelt reel, as fans took to social media to wonder why, with one posting: “Where was Rose’s boyfriend?”

Another asked: “How come they’ve never had Rose’s boyfriend on?”
