Ant McPartlin says Sue Cleaver's exit was 'refreshing' after 'perfect' I'm A Celeb stint

I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! presenter Ant McPartlin admitted he thought Sue Cleaver ‘s exit was “refreshing” after seeing her positive reaction.

The Coronation Street actress became the third celebrity to leave the jungle during Monday night’s show and she couldn’t have looked more pleased when she realised it was time to leave.

Screaming for joy when the Geordie duo called out her name, the 59-year-old’s reaction was extremely different to that of Scarlette Douglas.

The A Place in the Sun star was booted out of camp on Sunday night and was visibly gutted as she broke down in tears upon learning it was her time to go.

Following last night’s show, the beloved TV pair headed to their joint Instagram to discuss it with their 4,8 million followers.

Starting the conversation, Dec exclaimed: “Sue went!”

“Well she was pleased to go and it’s nice to hear from the campmates when they’re like ‘I’m done, I just want to get out of there’. Refreshing! It’s very refreshing,” added Ant.

His partner joked: “It must be quite nice when you think ‘I’ve come to the end of it. I’ve got everything out of this that I’ve wanted, just let me out at the hotel buffet’.”

Ant continued: “And go on trips and go to the beach. It’s like the perfect perfect time in the jungle!”

As she skipped her way across the iconic bridge to the studio, host Dec said that they’d never seen “anyone do that” in a show first.

After 17 days in camp, the soap star told Ant and Dec: “My time is done. Yes I am done!

“It is lovely watching it back, those guys are amazing. Camp life I have loved, but you can stuff your trials where the sun don’t shine frankly.”

As she sat with the presenters, Sue revealed that it was her “time to go” and that she wanted the only remaining female contestant Jill Scott to win the show.
