Coronation Street's Millie Gibson caught swearing as ITV soap co-star wins NTA gong

Coronation Street bombshell Millie Gibson was caught out swearing in surprise after her co-star Paddy Bever was awarded a National Television Award.

As AJ Adudu and Emma Willis took to the stage, the presenting duo announced the nominees for the Best Rising Star gong.

The ITV actor was up against Kit Connor and Joe Locke from the Netflix series Heartstopper as well as Charithra Chandran from the beloved series Bridgerton who were also in the running for the gilded award.

In an emotional speech the TV hunk confessed he “hadn’t prepared a speech” because he didn’t think he would be able to beat the other talented stars nominated for the award.

The teenager went on to reveal that his role as David Platt’s stepson Max Turner is his “first ever acting job” as he thanked the cast, crew, family and friends for helping him get so far.

Fans of the ITV soap soon flooded to Twitter to share their support for the young actor’s success online.

But it’s fair to say not everyone agreed with the results, as viewers flooded to Twitter to share their disappointment that no one from the series Heartstopper took home an award.
