Ghostbusters Dan Aykroyd's insane 9/11 alien conspiracy theory as he turns 70

Dan Aykroyd is a legendary actor in Hollywood, best known for his role as Ray Stantz in Ghostbusters, a character he just reprised in the legacy sequel Ghostbusters: Afterlife.

His Ghostbusting days are clearly far from over too, with talk of a sequel and upcoming projects such as Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed Video Game, and an animated series.

Celebrating his 70th birthday today, over the decades he has revealed that his interest in the supernatural goes far beyond playing his beloved character.

In fact, he believes that the tragic events of 9/11 have everything to do with intelligent life away from Earth – and that fateful date in 2001 helps explain why we haven’t received contact from UFOs.

Dan believes that not only are aliens out there, but they actively refuse to make contact with humanity because we are seen as a “violent, depraved, disgusting species”.

Speaking to The Sunday Times in 2014, he insisted he caught a glimpse of two orbs hovering in the sky during 9/11.

Apparently, they were even caught on a CNN broadcast during the events of that terrible day, though no footage of this has ever surfaced.

He explained: “(It’s) because we are a violent species. They don’t want anything to do with us. They watch us.

“There were two white orbs over (New) Jersey when the second tower went down on 9/11. They were on CNN for about two minutes… They never showed it again.

“Can you imagine what was going through their advanced minds when they saw what happened on 9/11?

“These humans crashing our highest evolution in aviation into our highest evolution in architecture and metallurgy, like kids wrecking toys in the sandbox.

“They are disgusted with us. And rightly so. Because we are a depraved, disgusting species.”

During a conversation with Build Series in 2017, Dan took to the stage and was asked a series of all-encompassing questions.

It wasn’t long before the topic of UFOs came up, and the actor didn’t hesitate to share his own close encounters of the third kind.

He said: “I’ve seen four [UFOs]. Two were a high-altitude sighting and one fairly close at the farm a couple years ago and then one really, really weird one in Montreal.

“[The] 23rd floor of the Queen Elizabeth Hotel and I’m sitting there with some friends and I see this, it looked like an air mattress but 100 feet long by 50 feet wide, tipped over with the bulbs on the bottom.

“It was moving slowly you know, and it just stopped and then it turned and went out over the river and we were going ‘what’s that thing!’”

HG Wells may have written in War Of The Worlds that aliens “watch us with envious eyes,” but according to Dan Aykroyd, they watch us with fearful ones.
