Good Morning Britain's Alex Beresford breaks silence after ITV fans 'concerned' for him

Good Morning Britain star Alex Beresford has broken his silence following “concern” for his wellbeing.

The presenter, 41, alarmed fans while broadcasting a weather forecast live from Liverpool for the ITV Evening News on Wednesday (October 5).

Caught in a storm, Alex was seen battling the elements of wind and rain as he tried to finish the forecast while standing outside.

Exposed to the hazardous weather conditions, viewer quickly shared their fears for Alex’s welfare but posting to Twitter following the incident, the recently married star confirmed he was “safe and well”.

Alex wrote: “Thanks for the concern guys but I’m safe and well.”

Following Alex’s message, fans shared their relief, with one viewer writing: “I did feel sorry for you Alex your little hands were soaked!”

Another replied: “A fabulous effort, but honestly didn’t hear a word.”

Meanwhile, a third viewer said: “Maybe, Alex, but it’s a bit cruel and needless…. take care.”

“Glad you’re safe,” another fan concluded.

Alex’s weather scare follows the ITV star recently marrying his partner of two years, Imogen McKay.

The couple tied the knot in a romantic clifftop ceremony in Mallorca last month, with Alex penning on Instagram: “We’re married!

“And it was everything Mrs Beresford (did I just write that [heart-eyes emoji]) and I dreamed of and more!!!

Alex and Emma began dating after being set up on a blind date by a mutual friend in October 2020.

Following a whirlwind romance, they announced their engagement in April this year and married on the day of Queen Elizabeth Ii’s funeral.

The weather presenter has a 12-year-old son Cruz from a previous relationship.
