Imagine Dragons' Dan Reynolds reveals time 'legend' Dave Grohl showed up at his house

Imagine Dragons singer Dan Reynolds has met a lot of famous faces over the years, but he’s revealed there was one day that rock legend Dave Grohl showed up at his house.

Speaking exclusively to Daily Star, Dan said him and his Imagine Dragons bandmates have rubbed shoulders with plenty of music titans, including the likes of Jay Z, Beyonce and Daft Punk at the 2014 Grammy Awards.

It was the year they won Best Rock Performance at the awards show for their smash-hit single – Radioactive.

However, it turns out he’s also hung out with iconic Foo Fighter’s singer Dave Grohl, who shot to fame in the 90s as the drummer in Nirvana.

Speaking to Daily Star, Dave recalled one memorable day when Dave showed up at the door of Dan’s house – and he even brought his mum along for the visit.

Grohl had been shooting a documentary on musicians and their mums, so the rockstars ended up hanging out with each-other’s mums at Dan’s house.

When asked if he’d ever met Dave in person, Dan said: “Yeah, a couple of times.

“He did a documentary on artists and their mothers and he came to my house and spent time with me and my mum, and his mum came as well.”

Revealing what Dave was like in person, the singer had heaps of praise for him.

Dan continued: “He was wonderful. Eloquent, sweet, kind, brilliant, and he’s obviously a legend but nothing but great things to say about Dave.

“I’m so happy for all his successes.”

Dave rose to fame in Kurt Cobain’s grunge band Nirvana – and they rocketed to success with their second album, Nevermind (1991).

After Kurt’s tragic death from suicide in 1994, Dave formed Foo Fighters – ditching the drums for the microphone as he became the frontman.

Foo Fighters have now become one of the most beloved rock bands in modern history – and they entered the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame last year.

Chatting about their backstage meeting with Jay Z and Beyonce at the Grammys, the band confessed they were scared of ruining the power-couple’s premium outfits as they were covered in glowing red dust.

During their performance of Radioactive at the event, they got flooded in ‘radioactive’ dust, which could easily contaminate someone else’s clothes if they weren’t careful about it.

The boys had only just walked off stage when none other than Jay Z and Beyonce turned up.

Speaking about the moment, guitarist Daniel Sermon said: “Jay Z and Beyonce, like meeting the two of them. They seemed to be like the most perfect human beings when we met them.”

Dan’s bandmate chimed in: “We were terrified we were going to ruin their outfits.”

Daniel added: “Beyonce was wearing like a white gown with like Swarovski crystals all over it and we’re covered in red powder that for sure stains everything, like we can blow it off of us onto her.
