Phillip Schofield's wine range ditched from shops as it's branded 'undrinkable'

Phillip Schofield’s empire has got a little smaller after his wine range was dropped from shelves at Waitrose.

The This Morning host found himself coming under fire from customers who bought the beverage and branded it “undrinkable.”

Now, the alcohol collection has been dropped from sale turning up as unavailable on the Waitrose website after a spate of bad reviews.

Customers have lashed out at the quality of the product with some calling it “beyond saving,” after splashing out to buy it.

Phillip previously claimed there was never “anything I have been so passionate about,” when he launched the range back in 2020.

But two years on tit seems there is no longer demand for the product and it has not been stocked with the luxury food retailer.

Talking about the decision Waitrose told OK! magazine: “It’s absolutely normal for us to review our selection from time to time and we haven’t sold this wine for a while.”

The wine – which retailed at £24.90 – managed to score just 2.2 out of 5 stars on the reviews section with a string of bad reports casting it in a dismal light.

One customer who was less than impressed gave a one star review as they wrote: “There is nothing whatsoever you can do to make this drinkable. Chill it to freezing, add ice, consider a mixer – it’s simply beyond saving. Avoid.”

A second disgruntled buyer said: “Zero flavour just bitter and unpalatable. I was expecting big things from this for the price but very disappointed.”

A third posted: “I made a return trip to store to return this wine as it was undrinkable.”

A fourth noted: “Very disappointed as so excited to try this but thin, acidic and thoroughly unpalatable sadly.”

Despite the overall negative response, some reviewers did still find the wine to be “lovely.”

One said: “Lots of people on here slating this wine, but approach with an open mind and this stuff is lovely. One of my favourites.”

Another reviewed: “A classy wine, not overdoing it but still a reviving taste.”
