Rochelle Humes announces she's lost 'loved one' as she enjoys family getaway

The Saturdays singer Rochelle Humes has announced the death of a ‘loved one’ while her family enjoyed a sun-soaked family holiday.

She shared the sad news with her 2,200,000 Instagram followers as she posted adorable pics with her kids on a New Year’s getaway.

The 32 year old showed off some snaps of her kids Alaia-Mai, 8, Valentina, 4, and Blake, 1, along with her 36 year old husband Marvin.

Rochelle explained that she had been quiet on social media recently as she was still “finding her feet” after the loss.

The popstar and This Morning presenter wrote: “I wanted to wish you all a Happy New Year.

“Thank you for all of your messages, I know I’ve been quiet. Losing a loved one is never easy, so I’m trying to find my feet whilst holding my little family close and making some more memories.”

“Although the world keeps turning and the sun comes up each day. Life has never been the same, since you were called away.

“You were such a special person, so gentle, good and kind and have left the sweetest memories and thoughts of you behind. I only wish there was a way, that I could see you one more time, to thank you for the joy you bought, into this life of mine.”

In one solo photograph taken on the sandy beach she can be seen in a pair of sunglasses wearing a fitted crochet green bikini, while another shows her in embrace with her husband.

Another of the charming family pictures shows her youngest daughter Valentina with her arms around Marvin, who is lifting her up with his back turned.

Alaia-Mai is meanwhile shown to be enjoying her surroundings by collecting shells on the beach, while an adorable Blake can be seen making the most of an ice cream after a busy day in the sun.

Rochelle signed off the holiday photographs with a touching image message that read: “We love them. We miss them. We grieve them. And so, we live our lives to make them proud.”
