This Morning's Holly Willoughby makes cheeky quip after bagging 'best tossers' title

To celebrate Pancake Day, Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield will be flipping pancakes on This Morning.

As Holly was reading off the cue board she began laughing as she read her line aloud and told viewers that they should watch she and Phil become the “best tossers”.

Reading the board Holly said: “Watch Phil and I become the best… tossers on earth? Phil and I are attempting to break a new pancake world record.”

Once the words slipped out of her mouth the blonde hostess looked utterly mortified as Phil began to chuckle and said: “Is that the first time you read that?”

Holly responded: “Yep that really is,” which prompted some of the crew behind the camera to laugh as Phil said: “I looked at it this morning and thought, ‘I’m glad you’ve got that.'”

She laughed and continued: “The most pancakes flipped and caught in 60 seconds. What does that trophy look like?”

Phil bent over as he cackled and Holly quipped: “Just wondering!”

After the subtle raunchy quip the duo continued laughing as viewers couldn’t help but laugh at the hosting duo on Twitter.

One person wrote: “Poor Holly,” while another added: “Best tosser award? Ha!”

Another said: “Hahaha I love these two.”

As they joined a separate segment which saw the chef make his own pancakes, but a savoury version, they continued talking about “tossing” pancakes, and fans couldn’t hold back with the innuendos.

One person wrote: “I think they’re going us tweeters with his tosser comments! Too big to toss.”

Another quipped: “Ooh that’s a big one to toss.”

The attempt to break a world record will see Holly and Phil flip pancakes over to one another across a big ruler, with the duo giving fans a sneak peek prior to trying the competition live.

Holly and Phil plan to pull it out of the bag – but Holly confessed earlier in the show that she always fails at attempting to break world records.

The starlet said she just wants to have a record break and get an award on her wall to state that she was able to do so – but will it be the pancakes?

This Morning continues weekdays at 10am on ITV.
