Catherine and her husband Tom Pitfield share two children together: son Alfie James born in March 2015 and daughter Iris Ella born in April 2022.

Catherine joined Coronation Street in 2011 when she was cast in the regular role of Eva Price.

In an interview at the time with Digital Spy, the blonde beauty revealed that there had been a lot of competition for the role of Eva and that she felt “incredibly lucky” to have secured the part.

She was introduced as Stella Price’s (Michelle Collins) daughter and the younger half-sister of Leanne Battersby.

Working in Underworld, she soon shacked up with her boss Aidan Connor (Shayne Ward), with the pair having a rocky and heartbreaking romance.

Aidan ended up taking his own life after suffering from depression and suicidal thoughts, which impacted upon Eva greatly and led to her leaving for Spain with her mum after a surrogacy storyline with half-sister Toyah.
