Love Island hunk eyes up ‘amazing’ Maya Jama and says he may try it on with her

Love Island 2023 contestant André Furtado has admitted that he might try chatting up “amazing” Love Island host, Maya Jama.

The 21-year-old is setting himself up to be the bad boy of the villa – bending the rules to chat up the presenter, 28, despite her being off limits for contestants.

The Dudley-born lad runs clothing brand Social Kids, and speaks four languages, including Portuguese, Spanish, and Creole, alongside English.

André definitely must think himself a catch enough to flout the roles for stunning presenter Maya Jama.

André commented: “Maya is absolutely stunning, she is the top of the top eye candy… amazing.

“I might give a chat-up line or two, just a little.

“Because she is a very attractive woman inside and out.

Despite the banter about Maya, André has painted himself as something of a softie, admitting that he “falls too quickly”.

The 21-year-old said: “When I look at beautiful ladies, before I’ve said hello to them I’ve already fallen in love.

“I’m already planning the wedding.”

Love Island returned this evening at 9pm, warning fans to “expect the unexpected”.

Executive producer Mike Spencer promised to “freshen up the format”.

Spencer commented: “There will be new twists and turns along the way.

“We’re trying to keep it fresh and exciting, especially for the islanders.

“If you watch the show, historically you know where things are placed. It’s time to change it all up.”

Nearly half this year’s singletons have been banned from having sex on screen by their parents.

Molly Marsh was one of this year’s Love Islanders that ruled out having sex on the island.

Molly revealed the main reason for abstaining from on-screen bonking was because her family will be tuning in to watch the show, including her grandparents.

Love Island returns to ITV2 and ITVX on Monday, June 5 at 9pm
