This Morning viewers distracted by Lily Allen’s hair as they say ‘that’s not her’

This Morning viewers were left doing a double take at their TV screens on Wednesday (March 29) after Lily Allen made an appearance on the show.

The 37-year-old, who first shot to fame in the 2000s thanks to her hit single Smile, has recently ventured into the world of acting.

Following her successful stint on the West End, Lily is now set to make her TV debut – starring on the Sky comedy-drama series Dreamland.

And to promote the upcoming show, Lily appeared on ITV show This Morning, alongside co-star and Doctor Who alum Freema Agyeman.

For the interview, Lily looked sensational in an oversized grey jumper, teamed with a shiny long skirt and knee-length blue boots.

But it was Lily’s new major hair transformation that got plenty of viewers talking at home.

Instead of her signature dark tresses, the LDN hitmaker had switched it up for a short blonde bob – and it’s safe to say her new look left viewers distracted.

“That’s not Lily Allen, wow she looks different,” said one viewer.

Another added: “I can’t believe how different Lily Allen looks.”

“Lily Allen doesn’t look like Lilly Allen,” proclaimed a third person.

While other viewers seemed to love the singer’s new hair, with one gushing: “Lily’s hair is amazing.”

Set in the British seaside resort town Margate, Lily’s show Dreamland explores multi-generational relationships and family dynamics.

Lily plays Mel, who makes a return to Margate, and is greeted by her older sister Trish (Freema) who is pregnant with her third baby.

Other cast includes screen legend and Benidorm Sheila Reid, who plays the siblings’ nan.

Frances Barber, best known for roles in Silk and Doctor Who, plays their mother, while Ghosts star Kiell Smith-Bynoe is Trish’s partner Spence.

The six-part-series launches on Sky Atlantic and Now at 9pm next Thursday (April 6).
