This comes after more Gladiator news after we spoke to Cobra star Michael Wilson about his health update. The OG star revealed he “almost kicked the bucket” during an unfortunate bout of illness a few years back which made recovering from Covid even harder recently.

The star said it impacted him a lot more due to having “scarred lungs” which was a result of suffering from double pneumonia and pleurisy. He said: “It’s been a problem because I’ve got a scarred lung and some residual stuff from when I had double pneumonia and pleurisy, I had to stay in hospital for a month, that wasn’t good.

“I’ve now cancelled the operation I was gonna get, I was going to get a tendon from a cadaver, underneath my rotator cuff, there are no tendons whatsoever. They’re all ripped off. I’ve got loads of loads of work coming in with Gladiator bits and pieces. And I can’t take the time out really. I’ve got bills to pay.”

Gladiators airs every Saturday at 5:50pm on BBC One and the BBC iPlayer.
