While the production of the upcoming superhero movie has been put on indefinite hiatus due to the coronavirus pandemic, the actor best known for his portrayal as Edward Cullen in the “Twilight” film series is still reportedly working hard to maintain his fit body.
Though following the self-isolation guidelines with girlfriend Suki Waterhouse in London, the 33-year-old star did not put his guard down when it came to his physique. In fact, a source told HollywoodLife, “Things are going well, they’re good spending all their time together [but] Rob’s not totally relaxing with her because he has to stay in top form for Batman.”
The insider further spilled that the Cedric Diggory of “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire” has been “training for several hours a day.” The inside source added, “He’s still working with coaches, he’s actually quite busy with work even though Batman has stopped filming. He’s still working with his trainer nearly every day, just on-line.”
Insisting that the situation was “not easy” for the ex-boyfriend of Kristen Stewart, the so-called source claimed it was “taking a huge amount of discipline for Rob to stay shoot ready.” The source went on to note, “The hardest part is there’s no timeline, no one knows when they’ll be able to shoot again.”
“Rob is so ready to get back on ‘The Batman’ set because he has gotten in the best shape of his life for it, but it has been difficult,” the insider explained, sharing that the quarantine workout was “really something he has had to get used to, eating differently and remaining fit for the role and the suit. It is very demanding but this role can be a game-changer for Rob.”
The insider additionally pointed out that this is a chance for him to prove to doubtful DC fans that he is the right one for the lead role. “Sure, he is well accomplished in acting and has done a lot to prove himself but he is now in rarefied air,” the insider said.
“Not everyone can be Batman, it is a very big test that he is taking beyond seriously because he wants to prove that he is worth it and really wants the fans to enjoy his take,” the source continued. “So being in the best shape of his life is a struggle, but well worth it in the long run.”

Robert Pattinson's Batman to Be Depicted as Married Man With a Kid in Future Sequel

    Warner Bros.

Words are Matt Reeves’ upcoming movie, the first installment in the trilogy, will establish Bruce Wayne’s romance with a familiar female character from DC Comics.
    Apr 13, 2020
AceShowbiz – Robert Pattinson’s Batman may not be as so-unlucky-in-love as Michael Keaton’s version in 1992’s “Batman Returns”. Words are Bruce Wayne will be depicted as a married man with a kid in a future “The Batman” sequels.
We Got This Covered, which first broke the news about Batman’s alleged love story arc in the upcoming movie, claimed to have got the scoop from a reliable source who has in the past shared some credible information about other projects. According to the source, the first film in the planned new trilogy will establish Batman’s romance with none other than [SPOILER ALERT!] Catwoman, who will be portrayed by Zoe Kravitz.
Apparently, the sequel to Matt Reeves movie will feature its version of the Joker (or Jokers) taking center stage, along with the beginnings of a full-on love story. The site adds that future sequels will see the pair getting married and having a baby.
It’s further said that the plot will be familiar to readers of the comics, though it remains to be seen if this will adapt the storyline straight from the comics, in which their first rooftop wedding plans were scuppered when Catwoman jilted Batman. In “Batman” #85 which was released in 2019, the pair eventually tied the knot in a low-key ceremony.
In 1992’s “Batman Returns”, Batman and Catwoman’s romance ended with Catwoman apparently dying in order to get revenge on her former boss.
Meanwhile, filming on Reeves’ “The Batman” has been halted due to the coronavirus outbreak. The cast and crew had shot around a quarter of the film in the U.K. when production was halted in March as the country was hit by COVID-19.
Reeves recently said that he planned to resume the production in the country once the crisis is over, but hasn’t ruled out moving production elsewhere. “It’s way too early to say,” he told Deadline. “I can’t imagine we wouldn’t finish in London. The situation is fluid.”
The movie has been scheduled for a June 25, 2021 launch. It’s currently unknown if the coronavirus pandemic will affect the release date.

Reeves, who also co-writes the film along with Mattson Tomlin, previously marked the first day of production by sharing the first official photo from the set of the upcoming Warner Bros.-DC Films movie. The image shared in late January featured the film’s clapboard sitting on a brown leather chair, which somehow fits the imagery of Wayne Manor.
“The Batman” will focus on a younger Bruce Wayne than he was in previous movies. Reeves has shared his vision for the new Batman movie, saying, “It’s more Batman in his detective mode than we’ve seen in the films.” He added, “I’d love this to be one where when we go on that journey of tracking down the criminals and trying to solve a crime, it’s going to allow his character to have an arc so that he can go through a transformation.”
Joining the cast are Colin Farrell as the Penguin, Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as Batman’s villain The Riddler, Jeffrey Wright who is said to play James Gordon, and Peter Sarsgaard who is cast in a mystery role. There has been a speculation that Sarsgaard might be portraying District Attorney Harvey Dent, who becomes the villain Two-Face.
The film is slated to open in theaters nationwide on June 25, 2021.
