    Instagram

The ‘Bodak Yellow’ hitmaker previously also shared a video of her unboxing a package which had her trophy from the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards, only to get slammed by naysayers.
    May 21, 2020
AceShowbiz – Cardi B is not happy with the different reactions she’s getting after she showed off her Grammy. She faced backlash after recently posting a video of her award in the mail with many Internet accused her of doing it for attention. However, when fellow winner Roddy Ricch did the same, he got nothing but praises.
Pointing that out, Cardi ranted on her Twitter account. “Where the people that was saying I posted my Grammy couple days ago for attention?” the Best Rap Album winner wrote on Wednesday, May 20 in a now-deleted tweet. “Bet ya feel stupid now.”
In a separate post, the “Bodak Yellow” hitmaker added, “I was unboxing things on my story and I unboxed my Grammy. Motherf***ers where real loud claiming I was unboxing it for attention, trying to get shine. Now Roddy just got his! Mind you I was just unboxing packages that came to my house.”

Cardi B blasted her haters who slammed her for posting a picture of her Grammy.
This arrived after Cardi took to her Instagram account on May 13 to share a video of her unboxing a package which had her trophy from the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards. Cardi’s name and the title “Best Rap Album – 2018,” which she won for her debut album, “Invasion of Privacy”, were engraved on the plaque below the golden gramophone.
As for Roddy, he proudly flaunted his first Grammy on Instagram Story on Wednesday. “thank u @nipseyhussle,” Roddy, who won Best Rap Performance for “Racks in the Middle”, honored his late collaborator.

Roddy Ricch gave Nipsey Hussle a shoutout for his Grammy win.
Prior to this, the 21-year-old Compton star reflected on Nipsey’s impact on both him and his community. “He was more than just another rapper to me. He was one of the young motivational role models in the city,” Roddy shared. “He really had a positive connection with young people. It wasn’t always about being the toughest or trying to prove yourself or be something you wasn’t. It was more so about being who you were and always having a strong mentality in whatever you wanted to do as far as your ventures.”

Cardi B Shares New Snippet of Unreleased Song Dedicated to Daughter Kulture

    Instagram

In honor of Mother’s Day, the ‘Bodak Yellow’ raptress unveiled over the weekend another part of the track she wrote for her daughter that samples Eve’s ‘Love Is Blind’.
    May 13, 2020
AceShowbiz – While her fans are eagerly anticipating her next album, Cardi B treated her followers to a new snippet of her unreleased track dedicated to her daughter Kulture. In honor of Mother’s Day, the raptress jumped to Instagram Live over the weekend to preview the song, which she wrote for her and Offset’s child.
“From that, sonogram when I saw your little hand/ Legs got weak when I heard your heartbeat/ I cried for you, prayed for you, even lost sleep,” she mouthed the lyrics as the song played in the background in the clip. “Little life growing inside of me/ Whole world has been dying to see/ I just wanted a little time for me/ This is invasion of privacy.”
Cardi recorded the track in 2018, while she was pregnant with Kulture and recording songs for her Grammy Award-winning debut album, “Invasion of Privacy”. She previously unveiled another part of the song, which samples Eve’s 1999 single “Love Is Blind”, in 2019 when celebrating her daughter’s 1st birthday in July.
“Thank you everybody for wishing my sweet baby a Happy Birthday,” the Bronx femcee wrote in an Instagram post along with a video that compiled footage of Kulture. She continued in the caption, “I made this song one day before I turned in my album and Eve gave me the green light for the beat I was so grateful! She a real one!”

On why the song didn’t make it into her highly successful debut studio album, Cardi explained at the time, “It didn’t make it on time tho cause as you can hear I was maaa stuffy with a terrible cold.I couldn’t get it right no matter how many times I spit it Even when we try to mix it u still sound stuffy . I love my baby she changed my life.”

Beyonce Forced to Call Off Cardi B Duet Due to Leak

    WENN

Beyonce Knowles was ready to collaborate with the ‘Bodak Yellow’ hitmaker but the latter’s producer ruined it by prematurely announcing the project on social media.
    May 13, 2020
AceShowbiz – Plans for a highly-anticipated 2017 collaboration between Beyonce Knowles and Cardi B were scrapped for good when the news leaked online, according to the producer behind the song.
Rumours about the secret project first hit headlines in October 2017, when Michael Ashby, who goes by the name Ashby the Mix Engineer, sent fans into a frenzy after posting a picture of his computer screen on his Instagram Story timeline, showing a mixing programme with a file titled, “Cardi B ft Beyonce Demo.”
He captioned the picture, “Wow this feature is big,” but stopped short of sharing any further details.
He subsequently apologised to the two stars for making the big reveal while Cardi played coy as she insisted she had never met Ashby, the engineer behind her breakout hit “Bodak Yellow”, and denied knowing anything about the proposed song.
Now producer J White Did It, who had been quietly developing the track, has opened up about the debacle, admitting the studio get-together between Beyonce and Cardi was ditched the moment Ashby made it public because the “Formation” icon is known for keeping an air of mystery around her work.
“Three years ago I had a Beyonce play with Cardi and that kinda went sour because it went viral that they was doing a song together and that cut out (sic),” J White Did It explained in an Instagram video.
“I was just as giddy as everybody else (about the collaboration),” he shared, before recalling the moment he knew that project was dead, “I was sitting there just waiting, looking on the Internet, then it leaked…”
The beatmaker, who also worked on “Bodak Yellow”, has since been granted a new opportunity to team up with Beyonce as he produced the “Savage Remix” she recently recorded with rap newcomer Megan Thee Stallion.

Listen to These Epic Coronavirus Songs to Keep You Entertained During Quarantine

While some of the musicians create a brand new song to keep people entertained as well as spread awareness, some others decide to change the lyrics of their songs.
    Apr 5, 2020
AceShowbiz – People all around the world are currently quarantining as the Coronavirus pandemic has claimed the lives of thousands. However, that doesn’t mean we can stop doing something productive during these challenging times. For instance, a bunch of musicians have been putting their creativity to use to make songs about the deadly virus.
While some of them create a brand new song to keep people entertained as well as spread awareness, some others decide to change the lyrics of their songs. More interestingly, one of these songs manages to do well in music charts even though it is merely a remix of the star’s rant about Coronavirus.
Without further ado, let’s take a look at the songs below.

    1. Chris Mann’s ‘My Corona’

Former “The Voice” contestant Chris Mann has enough time in his hands to bring people laughter through his hilarious song parodies, including covers of Adele’s “Hello” and Madonna’s “Stay Home Vague”. However, his parody of The Knack’s “My Sharona” has exceptionally been enjoyed by a lot of people as it brought it more than 19 million views on YouTube.

Titled “My Corona”, the song finds him singing about all the struggles that people need to get through amid the pandemic. In one point of the song, Chris can be heard singing, “S**t, I touched my face/ Wait, I think I finally caught my Corona/ Stop it, don’t be manic, go inside, no organic!/ Oh no, all GMO, Jesus Christ, now I panic.”

    2. Madonna’s ‘Vogue’
    Instagram

For those who are disappointed not being able to see Madonna performing on stage during her “Madame X Tour” due to Coronavirus concern, the singer has given a small taste of the intimacy the tour provided through an Instagram video. Encouraging people to be creative even during lockdown, Madonna puts an odd twist to her hit “Vogue” as she has a mini concert in her bathroom.

Instead of the original lyrics, the Queen of Pop seemingly sang about the issues people have to deal with when they run out of groceries amid quarantine. Using a hairbrush as a replacement for a mic, she rhymed, “Come on, go, let’s go eat some fried fish… come on, vogue, I mean go… cause there’s no more pasta, oh no, we’re gonna eat some fried fish, yeah!”

    3. Jackson Browne’s ‘A Little Soon to Say’
    Instagram

Jackson Browne is one of the many examples that you must not give up even though you have been contracted with Coronavirus. Rather than being discouraged, the singer decided to release a song entitled “A Little Soon to Say” to uplift everyone’s spirit amid these trying times.

In an interview, Jackson admitted that he initially wrote the song after being inspired by the likes of parkland students, but then realized that the lyrics of the song ring true to the crisis. “(I was) thinking about the generation – the Parkland students, and Greta Thunberg, and the young people who have been very vocal, saying, ‘You’re not making any real attempt to change things in a way for us to have the planet you had’. How do you pass this mess on to the next generation, the future generations?” he explained.

    4. Cardi B’s Coronavirus Rant
    Instagram

Inspiration can come anytime and in any kind of form. For instance, no one would have thought that Cardi B’s viral rant about the Coronavirus could have been turned into a great song that could be enjoyed by a lot of people during this trying time. iMarkkeyz was the one behind the great creation.

His remix, which contained Cardi screaming, “Coronavirus! It’s getting real” over an upbeat melody, reached the top ten on iTunes single chart. Meanwhile, in the hip-hop category, it peaked at No. 4. Proceeds from the single, according to both Cardi and iMarkkeyz, are donated to workers who are hurting financially due to the virus.

    5. will.i.am’s ‘Sing 4 Life’

People in Italy did all kinds of things that attracted the world’s attention during the lockdown. From playing tennis through the windows and holding a party from their balconies, many of them found a way to have fun without leaving their homes. At one time, they also joined their voices in a song through open windows, and that inspired Bono to create a song.
    [embedded content]
Not stopping there, he also enlisted the help of will.i.am, Jennifer Hudson and X Japan’s Yoshiki. Bono opens the song by rhyming, “Yes I walk through the streets of Dublin/And no one was near,” before passing the baton to the rapper who sings, “Yes I walk through the streets of London/seems like everyone’s disappeared.”

    6. JoJo’s ‘Chill (Stay In)’
    Instagram

For those who are used to spending their days outside, being forced to stay inside during the Coronavirus pandemic can be challenging. But worries not, JoJo has the perfect song to keep you home instead of going outside. The singer has flipped her “Leave (Get Out)” into a Coronavirus-themed song titled “Chill (Stay In)”.
    [embedded content]
Performing a capella in her dining room, she pounds a beat on her dining table while singing, “Stay in!/ Right now!/ Do it for humanity! So you’re gon’ learn how/ To cook now/ And practice good hygiene/ I know you’re bored and want to f**k around, but not on me.”

    7. Neil Diamond’s ‘Sweet Caroline’

The Coronavirus pandemic has proven to be so bad that Neil Diamond decided to come out of his retirement to spread awareness through his music. The singer-songwriter shared a new version of his hit “Sweet Caroline” in an effort to encourage fans to adopt a more healthy lifestyle to combat the deadly virus.

In the video posted on his Instagram account, Neil performed in front of a roaring fire, “Hands, washing hands, reaching out, don’t touch me, I won’t touch you.” Not stopping there, he shared a message to his online devotees, “I know we’re going through a rough time right now, but I love you, and I think maybe if we sing together well, we might feel a little bit better.”

    8. Sam Smith’s ‘What the World Need Now Is Love’

During these sensitive times, a number of musicians are using their platforms to brighten the lives of many by holding at-home concerts. Among these stars is Sam Smith, who has been posting some videos of covers while in quarantine. Interestingly enough, the lyrics of one of the songs he covered seemed to ring true to the crisis.

Sam, who recently announced that he’d delay the release of his album as well as change its title, shared a video of him singing Jackie DeShannon’s “What the World Needs Now Is Love”. He delivered his beautiful vocals, “What the world needs now is love, sweet love/ No not just for some but for everyone/ Lord, we don’t need another mountain/ There are mountains and hillsides enough to climb/ There are oceans and rivers enough to cross/ Enough to last till the end of time.”

Cardi B's Best Friend Star Brim May Star on 'Love and Hip Hop' If She Snitches on Rapper

    Instagram

According to a new report, Star, who is currently pregnant, can be freed if she can turn state’s evidence and snitch on the Grammy-winning rapper after following her being named in an indictment of gang members.
    Feb 21, 2020
AceShowbiz – Cardi B’s best friend Star Brim is currently facing serious legal issues after being charged with slashing a person and participating in a racketeering conspiracy in the Southern District of New York on Tuesday, February 18. Despite being chaotic, the situation may be not entirely bad for Star as she may be given an opportunity to start a new reality show career.
According to MTO News, things don’t look good for Star, whose real name is Yonette Respass, who accused of being the highest ranking female member of a violent Bloods street gang, the 5-9 Brims. New York Federal presecutors a 95% conviction rate, but she may be out sooner if she does these things.
Star, who is currently pregnant, can be freed if she can turn state’s evidence and snitch on bestie Cardi. While the feds didn’t mention the “Bodak Yellow” hitmaker, the feds claimed that Star ordered the attack with other gang members, implying that the wife of Offset was one of them.
Should Star be snitching on the Cardi, she could have been offered with a “no jail time” deal. In addition to that, she might be hired by the producers of “Love & Hip Hop”. When asked if they would interested to have Star if she were to snitch on Cardi, two insiders said, “YES.”
“The 5-9 Brims is a violent criminal organization that has terrorized residents of Brooklyn and Queens by committing brutal acts of violence in public places, trafficking narcotics on the streets and defrauding victims through financial schemes,” United States Attorney Donoghue stated.
The indictment alleges these gang members had been feuding with a rival faction of the gang called the “Real Ryte,” with some of the defendants either participating in or conspiring in the murder of rival members. Star is additionally accused of orchestrating an attack at Angels night club in Flushing, Queens in August 2018.
While many of the 5-9 Brims gang members have been arrested, Star herself has been allowed to delay her arrest until she gives birth to her baby. Prosecutors say they are in discussions with her attorney regarding a time and date for self-surrender.
